A freshman applicant is a person who has not attended a university, college, or technical school. Applicants who attended a post-secondary institution while still in high school are also classified as freshmen.

The College of Charleston's educational program and campus life are enriched with people of many backgrounds that are represented in its student body. The College encourages all qualified applicants who are attracted to our programs to apply.

Deadlines for the College of Charleston are:

November 1 Early Action application deadline

December 1 Freshmen admitted to the College by January 15 are automatically considered for academic scholarships. In order to meet this deadline, students should apply during the Early Action process and have all credentials to the Office of Admissions by December 1.

April 1 Regular Admission Application deadline

May 1 Deadline to confirm admissions and request tuition deposit and housing deposit refunds
