Facts about Honors College Applications
- Approximately 200 students are accepted each year from a pool of 800 or so applicants
- Honors College applications should be submitted directly to the Honors College
- Successful candidates are in the top 6% of their class, have taken Honors, AP or IB courses, and are active in extracurricular and leadership activities
- 1340 is the average SAT score for entering freshmen
- 29 is the average ACT score for entering freshman
Although there is no absolute deadline to apply to the Honors College, students should apply first to the College of Charleston Admissions Office and then to the Honors College before November 1 to maximize the possibility of being accepted and considered for scholarships.
