Current Students

If you are currently a student at the College of Charleston, follow these steps to ensure a complete application:

1. Pick up an Honors College Application at the Honors Center, 10 Greenway or download the PDF version here.

2. Send your writing sample and letter of recommendation directly to the Honors College. We will obtain your grades for the current semester as they become available.

A complete Honors College Application for a Current CofC student includes:

• Application
• Writing Sample – In lieu of the traditional essay, please submit a writing sample that was completed in one of your College of Charleston classes
• One Letter of Recommendation from a College of Charleston professor with the Honors College Recommendation Form
• Grades from the current semester at the College of Charleston

Once your application is complete it will be reviewed by the Honors Committee. You can expect a letter in the mail indicating your Honors College admission decision. Please be sure that you provide your local mailing address with your application.
